# How do I apply a preset to a portrait photo?

When I apply a preset to a portrait photo, the preset is rotated 90 degrees. I’d have to copy the preset that’s on a landscape photo and paste it on a portrait photo for it to work.

When you have the photo selected, you need to make sure you are in the develop module. Once in the develop module, on the left side of your screen there should be preset options. Depending on if you have added presets, those presets will be visible here. Select the preset you wish to apply and click on the preset. This will add the preset to your photo and you can adjust your levels from there.
