# how do I add users from different organizations

I was not able to add someone who was outside my organization. Is it something that the organization restricts or is it part of Cisco Jabber?

For communication with external organizations, who are also using Cisco Jabber you need to federate with them. The best gateway for federations is Cisco Expressway.It supports federations with XMPP and also Microsoft Skype for Business
