# How do I add or edit macros from the inbox view?

This feature could be improved and be easier to navigate.

Hi Wendy, thank you for your question.  You're able to edit macros from within an active chat.  You will want to go to Agent Tools >>Chat.  From there you will want to be in Chats (not Inbox).  The side bar should already be open (on the right side of your screen).  You'll click the Private button and you're able to add or edit from there. You will see the Marcro Label and you will be able to enter or edit your message in the "Replacement Text" field.
