# How do I add fonts that I download into docs?

For example I downloaded a font from the internet and would like to add it to docs. It works in word.

It's not possible to add custom fonts to Google Docs at this time. That's because Docs uses special web-based fonts (since it's a cloud-based app). You can add additional fonts by clicking on the font list and going to "More fonts" at the top. If you find a font in the list that's one you one to use, just click on it to add it your font list.

You can also find more web fonts via the add-on for Docs called Extensis Fonts. You can get it by going to Add-ons (in the tool bar) > Get add-ons and then searching for it by name.

Once you find it, just press the blue Free button to add it to Docs. You can then access it by clicking on Add-ons in the tool bar to display all the add-ons you have.
