# How can I use Magento without the burdensome administrative load of keeping it updated?

I liked the depth of Magento's features, but it was grueling to handle the backoffice.

No. I've been a Magento consultant since 2007 and it's always been a headache keeping it updated. You must have a developer to deploy updates and your server hosting company will also throw you curveballs. Magento as of late is only useful for B2B brands or niche retailers with complicated catalogs/deep pockets that require special features and have in house tech peeps on hand. If you're under 10MM/yr don't even consider it. These days I have a hard time finding a use case for it.
