# how can i make gradient text in amadine

Generally, there are two approaches to gradient text in the Aamdine app.

1. You can draw the text and add a gradient. For this you use Pen tool and draw the text (not write with font), which is a vector object as any other. After that you add a gradient to it. One of the designers, Filip Komorowski, showed how to create a differently coloured lettering text in the Amadine app in his Behance account here:

2. You can write the text in a font, then expand it and add a gradient. This is done more often by the designers, because not everyone knows how to draw fonts so that they look balanced and nice. 

It's up to you which of these approaches to choose.
