# How can I help improve notepad++, is that the source code available?

What languages are used to develop notepad++ and what are the future updates or changes being focused?

Hey Siddhant, good question! While I&#39;m not a part of the Notepad++ team, I do know they have their source code available here: https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus. As far as pull requests are concerned, they do have some pull guidelines, which they have outlined here: https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md . It seems like Notepad++ does have pretty solid language support as a whole – if there&#39;s a language you&#39;d like to use that isn&#39;t already recognized by the program, they have user-defined language support built in: https://npp-user-manual.org/docs/user-defined-language-system/.
