# how can i directly upload from visual studio to GCP

I have to upload it to GCP manually all the time. I would like to upload automatically by just typing a command.

Visual Studio Code is an open-source community editor meant to be lightweight. As such the tool supports little in terms of products out of the box. Support for things is expected to come from the community and you access this through the extensions marketplace.

Google Cloud appear to have a single extension that integrates VS Code with their platform but it seems to be targeting Kubernetes only. It's still on version 1.0.0 so possibly over time this extension will expand to connect other areas of their cloud offering.
