# How can I configure my phones so that they will work during a power outage with alternative power?

If there is an achilles heel, this is it.  My business is very dependent on my phones and I cannot bout of contact due to power outages.

you can use a UPS locally or to back up the Switch the phone is plugged into.

alternatively you can put the app on your cell and use as a backup to answer and make calls during an outage.
