# How can false positives be minimized during DDoS mitigation?

Minimizing false positives starts with establishing accurate baselines of normal traffic behavior. Arbor Sightline and TMS use adaptive baselining and real-time traffic analysis to differentiate between legitimate surges and malicious activity. Organizations can further refine policies over time to better align with their specific traffic patterns, reducing the risk of blocking valid users. Both Arbor Sightline and TMS also use the ATLAS Intelligence Feed to block known sources of attacks with high confidence.
