# How are you using Simpro APIs and BI reporting to fill gaps in built-in reports?

We like Simpro’s API access and BI reporting because it lets us pull data that isn’t available in Simpro’s own reports, and build workflows outside Simpro (like auto converting an accepted, signed quote into a job). The downside has been pricing, plus glitches in newer AI features (GPS job sign-in radius) and heavier phone battery use in the app. Support also feels slower and less available than it used to be. How are others handling reporting gaps, workflow automation, and the newer AI and mobile features?

I’ve found some of the built-in reports are easy to use, but reporting still needs more customization overall. Lightning helps fill that gap, but it feels like those options should be included by default. Simpro does track jobs and subcontractors, though it’s not ideal for longer jobs, and I wish it had stronger forecasting and a better payroll module. One area that’s been consistently solid for me is how simple it is to manage people in the system.
