# How are you using Geoplugin IP geolocation to reduce manual compliance and tax work?

Geoplugin has been a set-and-forget tool for us, with a quick setup and accurate day-to-day global IP lookups. It helped us automatically identify a visitor’s country zone so we could stop manually calculating compliance and tax rates, speed up operations, and eliminate incorrect data entry. The only downside is the client portal and UI feel old-fashioned, even if the dashboard isn’t critical for an API-first tool. How important is a modern portal for you, and what workflows have you automated with IP geolocation?
