# How are you helping new and non‑technical colleagues get over the M-Files learning curve?

I am convinced that the metadata approach is the right long term move, but getting my team to that same point has been tough. People who have spent years living in Windows folders find the whole idea foreign, and even after training they still ask me where the “real” folder is.
On top of that, the number of features, views, and workflow options makes the product feel like too much for newcomers. I see smart colleagues avoiding some of the more powerful tools because they are worried about “breaking something” or getting lost in menus.
The result is that I keep fielding basic questions, re-explaining concepts, and double-checking that documents are tagged correctly, instead of focusing on my own work. New hires in particular seem to need weeks, not days, before they are comfortable.
For those of you who have already been through this, how do you introduce M-Files to non‑technical users and long‑time folder users in a way that reduces anxiety and gets them productive faster, without turning every week into another training session?
