# How are you handling MSU-based updates if Heimdal Infinity Management doesn’t support MSU files?

We like Heimdal for pricing, decent support, easy patch management, and granular policies, and it’s helped with OS and 3rd party patching as we retire WSUS. The biggest blocker is that Infinity Management doesn’t support MSU files, which is critical for sysadmins, plus there’s a lot of unsupported software that has to be requested manually. We’ve also run into limitations where it only supports apps installed in system context, not user context. If you’re using Heimdal, how are you working around MSU updates and app coverage gaps?
