# How are you handling Hexnode UEM slowness during app deployments and advanced configs?

We are currently using Hexnode UEM to manage our organization’s Mac and Windows devices. Previously, we were using Cisco Meraki MDM, and as we started moving away from that platform, we evaluated Hexnode as our new device management solution.

So far, our experience with Hexnode has been very good. From the POC stage through implementation and ongoing support, the Hexnode team has been continuously following up with us and providing strong technical assistance. During implementation, Samanth supported us very well, and more recently Henry from the support team has been extremely helpful in resolving technical issues. Kalyan and the rest of the team have also been regularly following up and supporting us throughout the process.

One of the main benefits for us is the ability to centrally manage our devices. We have a larger number of Mac devices, and Hexnode has made Mac management smooth and straightforward. We are also managing Windows devices and using automations to simplify deployment and onboarding.

Hexnode’s integration with our identity management platform, Okta, has also been useful. We are able to onboard users and assign devices using their Okta email IDs, which makes the process much easier and reduces manual work.

We are also using Hexnode to manage Apple Business Manager (ABM) devices and deploy applications and configurations. We faced some challenges previously with Cisco AMP, particularly around the extensions and permissions required for deployment. After moving from Cisco AMP to SentinelOne, we were able to deploy and configure it much more smoothly through Hexnode without manually providing those extensions. Henry from the Hexnode team helped us successfully complete this setup.

There are still a few areas that could be improved. At times, we have noticed some slowness in the Hexnode platform, and we have already shared this feedback with their team. We are also still in the early stages of using the product, so we are continuing to explore more features and automation capabilities.

Overall, Hexnode has been a very good UEM solution for us so far. Device onboarding, Mac and Windows management, ABM integration, Okta integration, application deployment, and automation are working well for our environment. The support and implementation teams have also been responsive and helpful.

I would recommend Hexnode to organizations looking for a UEM/MDM solution, especially those managing a mix of Mac and Windows devices. The product continues to receive new features and improvements, and we are looking forward to making greater use of its automation capabilities as we expand our deployment.
