# How are you dealing with the older‑feeling desktop client and extra clicks in everyday work?

Day to day, I spend a lot of time in the desktop client, and while it gets the job done, it often feels like I am working in an older tool that requires more effort than it should. Moving or renaming documents sometimes takes extra clicks compared to what my team was used to, and the layout can feel cluttered, especially for colleagues who are still getting used to it.
When I train new users, I can see that the look and flow of the client add friction to their first impressions. Instead of focusing on how helpful the metadata concept is, they get hung up on where to find common actions or why simple tasks feel slightly slower.
Over a full day, all those little pauses and extra steps add up, and it makes it harder for me to present M-Files internally as a clear upgrade from what we had before, even though I know the engine behind it is stronger.
For other long-time users, do you have any practical ways of arranging views or adjusting habits so that the older style and the extra clicking get in the way less of your daily document work?
