# Hexnode UEM: How do you troubleshoot issues when it doesn’t clearly flag the cause?

With Hexnode UEM, we can deploy apps to devices very quickly, and support has been responsive within 24 hours or less. It’s also helped us keep devices compliant by notifying us when a device isn’t compliant, and it gives us a way to reset device passwords when people forget them. The main challenge is that it’s not always easy to figure out what’s wrong when issues come up, and I wish it flagged the actual cause more clearly. How are others diagnosing and resolving problems when the error details aren’t obvious?

When Hexnode doesn’t clearly flag the cause, I use the built-in remote terminal to read the Hexnode log file directly on the endpoint. That’s how I finally found out, after a few hours, that an app installation failure was just due to an outdated antivirus version, since the portal logs didn’t explain it. I’d really like clearer troubleshooting logs in the console.
