# Has UltraEdit (UltraCompare) gotten slower over time compared to WinMerge or Notepad++?

I have not found much to love compared to using Notepad++ with WinMerge. Over time, UltraCompare has felt slow and huge, and WinMerge seems much faster for loading and comparing documents. I also ran into major issues and felt customer service did not resolve them even after a long time. If you use UltraEdit or UltraCompare, how has performance and support been for you lately?
