# Has anyone switched auction software mid-event-cycle? How did it go?

Switching platforms is never ideal, but sometimes it's necessary. Maybe the pricing got out of hand or support disappeared when you needed it most.

The timing is tricky. Too close to the event and you're retraining volunteers and re-entering items under pressure.

Has your organization made a mid-cycle switch? What would you do differently?

We've onboarded clients who switched from other platforms with as little as 4 weeks to their event. It's not ideal but it's doable with the right support. The key is a team that moves fast and a platform that's genuinely easy to set up. If your current software isn't delivering, waiting until after your event to make a change can cost you more than the switch itself.
