Directory-as-a-Service is your core IT service for authenticating, authorizing, and managing users, their systems, web and on-premise applications, and networks – all from the cloud.

The center of JumpCloud’s cloud directory service is a user’s identity. That identity can be connected to a wide variety of IT resources, through a variety of mechanisms, including a lightweight agent for systems, authentication protocols (including LDAP, SAML 2.0, RADIUS, and others) for various IT resources, and RESTful APIs for custom integrations and automation. In addition, the virtual identity provider can manage security policies across all of the enterprise.

As a modern cloud directory, Directory-as-a-Service enables IT admins to centralize control over their company’s environment. To learn more, you can read our blog post “What is DaaS?”, watch our JumpCloud walkthrough video, or our complete series of tutorial videos on our YouTube channel. The materials offer a good introduction on how a cloud identity management platform works. Alternatively, you can see our IDaaS solution for yourself by signing-up for a free account.
