# From the beginning, how do I set up templates and when and how do I use them?

I'm not sure if a tax receipt or an acknowledgement has been sent when someone donates.  How many do I have to set up to make everything work correctly

When you create a campaign you need  to setup an automatic email response using whatever template you have created. You only need one template if you want your response to be the same each time. But you must select that as your response for every campaign. We use multiple templates to send responses specific to the campaign they donated to.
