# For Pardot users: Do you see any major changes since the Salesforce.com acquisition of Exact Target?

Pardot has been traditionally a step behind Marketo and Eloqua for enterprise marketing automation applications in terms of features/functionality, occupying a tier competing with Act-On and Hubspot for SMB accounts. Does it appear that Salesforce.com is maintaining that market positioning, or are they adding to functionality (& cost) to bring it upmarket? I notice that they are close to Eloqua and Marketo in the G2Crowd Leaders Quadrant (research tab).

According to my information source, there was an announcement at Dreamforce that Salesforce has a limited road map for increasing Pardot's integration to SF as well as they are phasing out support for other CRM systems. If Salesforce would position itself as a "Platform as a Service", then I believe that users could hardly expect same development focus as Pardot did before being acquired by SalesForce.
