# Do I need to have an eversign account to sign documents with eversign?

No! You can sign a document sent to you without an EverSign account, however, it may send you to a screen once you've signed the document where it will prompt you to sign up.

You need an account to set up a document for others to sign. There is a free level that limits the number of documents you can setup for signatures per month. If you receive an Eversign document you do not need an Eversign account to sign.
