Hi,

In a nutshell, ERP is a software product that helps companies manage most or all their operations, from front-office (sales, marketing), to the back office (accounting, HR, and payroll), and industry-specific activities such as procurement, manufacturing, wholesales, or professional services.

That being said, not all ERP systems offer all these features. Some specialize in manufacturing, others on distribution, or professional services.
