Nessus Professional can be run in both a physical or a virtual environment. Nessus can be installed on a computer (Desktop, Server, Laptop) and is supported on most of the major operating systems and platforms. It can also be run as a Virtual appliance on most common hypervisors. Visit docs.tenable.com for more information.

you don't need any special requirements you can run on any windows or Linux machine without any hazel.
