by law Electronic signatures are just as legally binding as a hand signature. laws were passed making this the case due to the overwhelmingly large volume of businesses that do business in a manor that makes it difficult to go and get a hand signature there are also places that offer to notarize your document via video conferencing technologies and like the digital signature they too are legally binding and have the same affect as if you were to go and have the document notorized in person and for the same reason
