As of IBM Domino 9.0.1 Feature Pack 9, IBM Domino supports running under the control of Docker images, or "containers," using leading Windows, SUSE, and Windows Docker operating systems. Docker containers deliver a higher degree of software virtualization than is possible with traditional virtual machine technology. The additional software efficiency and exploitation of hardware are made possible by Docker's ability to share core host OS CPU resources (traditional software virtualization requires loading the full guest operating system) among software containers.  

On October 10, 2018, Domino customers can realize additional flexibility and management on-premises, hybrid, and cloud deployments. In addition, administrators will be able to create Docker Domino containers based on the open source CentOS operating system, which is virtually fully compatible with Red Hat Linux. The documentation on how to create a Domino docker container will be available as a Technote, as well as a blog post on ibm.com/destinationdomino.
