# Domain authority in SpyGlass

Hi,
I usually chose the websites from which I want to get a link by their Moz DA.
However, in many case your Domain InLink Rank does not agree with Moz. Sometimes Moz ranks 20+DA while Domain InLink Rank is just 1.
I'm confused because I don't know who to believe. On one hand I trust your ranking and I know that you carefully check many criteria but yet it's Moz and they get a different results in many cases.
I'll appreciate if you can explain the difference between you and Moz and how I can use both ranks to decide.

You simply cannot trust the data it gives you, for 2 simple reasons.
1) It is not able to detect 301 redirects, so if a domain has done this and counts 1000 reference links, Spyglass does not detect them and therefore you are with an underestimated Domain
2) They practically never update their DA. So maybe if a site had DA10 and in six months and went to 30, on SeoSpyGlass it still shows you the DA of 6 months ago
