# Does data validation only do a comparision betweeen customer against custormer, vendor against vendor, or does it do anything special for Business Partners in S/4HANA?

It doesn't make a direct comparison of customer against customer with regard to the ECC and S/4HANA system. It actually delves deeper into the API that we've built into the KPI engine.
