# Does alugha need a separate video file for each language?

We localize training videos into 8 languages. On our current setup every language is a separate upload and a separate embed, which is getting unmanageable. How does alugha handle this? Can viewers switch the language inside the player?

No separate files needed. alugha packages every language as an audio track inside one hosted video file. Viewers switch languages instantly in the player, and subtitles are available on top of the audio tracks. You embed once, and when you add a new language later, the existing embed automatically gains the new track, with no re-upload and no re-embedding. This also keeps analytics unified: you see views per language and per consumption type (audio track vs. subtitles) for the same video. Trimble runs this setup across 10 languages and cut its video localization cycle by 75 percent. For 8 languages, that means one upload, one embed, and one statistics view instead of 8 parallel copies.
