# Do you pass SaaS tool costs to clients or eat them yourself?

Running a social media agency means paying for
scheduling tools, reporting tools, approval tools,
storage, CRM… the list never ends.

But I rarely see anyone talk about what happens
to those costs. Do you:

→ Bundle them into your retainer price?
→ Charge clients separately as a line item?
→ Just absorb them and hope margin holds?

For us, tool costs were eating 12–18% of retainer
value per client before we started consolidating.

Curious how other agencies handle this — especially
as you scale past 10 clients.
