# Do you guys have knowledge on whether Ubuntu will implement Android apps installation?

We can see that the latest Windows 11 started supporting Android apps. As Android is based on Linux, do you guys think whether the support of the installation of Android apps on Ubuntu? I am not sure or heard anything about this. However, this will surely boost the Ubuntu network to a broader majority. Android covers a significant share of the mobile markets, and there are millions of apps available in the Play Store and APK. Also, we have plenty of third-party app stores that are readily available to download the APKs. So I think this one additional feature, along with the currently available applications for Linux, the operating system will be more appealing among the average users. Share your views!

I am sure that will come to pass soon. Since Chromebooks are gitting this feature I am sure a package will be created just for android compatibility.
