Thank you for your great questions!
Guusto is not a points program by design. There are NO markups and fees as we want every dollar to go to your people :) 
Once claimed by the recipient, Guusto gift cards never expire!
As Mihir comments, you can absolutely save and combine gift cards.

Points(gift amount) doesn't expire, you can club them into getting a larger reward.
