# Do I have to replace my whole legacy access control system to migrate to Kisi?

We're interested in moving to a cloud-based access control platform, but replacing our entire system at once would be expensive. Can Kisi be deployed gradually, or does it require a complete rip-and-replace migration?

No. Kisi allows organizations to migrate at their own pace.

You can deploy the complete Kisi solution from the start or gradually transition from an existing access control system while keeping parts of your current infrastructure in place.

Many organizations begin by installing a Kisi Controller Pro 2 with a Wiegand board while continuing to use their existing readers, controllers, wiring, and credentials.  

This provides access to Kisi's cloud-based management platform, centralized administration, and mobile access capabilities without requiring a full replacement on day one.

As needs evolve, organizations can gradually adopt additional Kisi hardware and features to take advantage of the full platform.
