That's a great question and one that should be on everyone's mind. You'll want to be certain that the event app vendor you choose has all processes in place to keep your information secure from end to end. You'll also want to know that those processes and safeguards are verified with third-party testing.

Ask questions of your event app vendor. These are good ones to start with: 1) Do you have a SOC 2 report and will you share it with us? 2) Do you have vulnerability testing performed by a third party and can you share high-level results with us? 3) What tools can attendees use to control their privacy in the app? 4) How do you manage the security and privacy of our data and files? 5) How can we control access to the app and different sets of data for our users?

The key is to ask questions.
