# How is Omni-Gen approach Incremental and what advantage does Omni-Gen have over other tools and products in the data management category?

Companies are afraid to take on Master Data Management projects because they are “just too big” and they take “way too long”. Omni-Gen gives you the ability to rapidly bring up your first domain and quickly realize the value. Omni-Gen can do this because its primary advantage is speed of deployment. 

The typical Master Data Management project today take about twelve to eighteen months to achieve. This is also why many of them fail. What Omni-Gen does is shrink the amount of time it takes to get to a golden record. What used to take twelve to eighteen months can now be accomplished in three.
