CRM is basically customer relationship management and it helps the organization in maintaining a single source of customer information.  There are different types of crm - operational and analytical CRM.  Analytical CRM helps in the analyzing the customer behavior and have the products offered based on that.  Whereas operational CRM helps in the management and maintenance  of the customer information.
