# How can I have simultaneous connections without losing information?

Loss of information due to having simultaneous connections

Hello Manuel, there is no conflict with simultaneous access. Docs does not lock documents. Those collaborating simultaneously on the document should consider the situation and not "overwrite" each other's changes. The idea is that they interact together, not separately. The author can restrict simultaneous access. And Docs issues warnings of concurrent edits.
