# Common Grant Application: how do you handle character limits and mismatched drop-down priorities?

I found Common Grant Application really user-friendly and concise, with clear instructions and red error messages when something was wrong. The biggest challenge was a fixed character limit that didn’t match the counts in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, which forced me to dilute language and led to poor formatting. I also ran into drop-down priority options that didn’t match the funding priorities listed on the foundation’s website. How have you worked around character limits and priority list mismatches when submitting proposals?
