# Can we use this with excel sheets?

We received from our customer excel sheets to pay freight, but sometimes there is are several vendors we need to input the amount and a short description of who is paying (grower)

Yes. GlobalSearch will store these file types. The preview may format as if it were printed, but if the user has permission, they can open the spreadsheet in the native app to edit.

We could receive these spreadsheets via email, present them to a user to tag with the amount, payer, or build automation to gather that automatically and identify who it's from based on some characteristics of the document.  We could then take the data from that document and output it in most open formats, such as CSV, Database, or XML.  This could then be picked up by their target system, eliminating the need for them to key this information manually.

These could be stored natively in GlobalSearch allowing you to launch them, edit them and then save the changes as a new revision. You could also use the "print to" function if you just wanted to save them to GlobalSearch as a PDF
