Certain items we ship are ineligible for carrier insurance, and there can be difficulty getting the payout on carrier insurance when the carrier takes every opportunity to blame someone else.

Not quite. Only authorized third parties who are appropriately vetted and licensed by state departments of insurance are able to make insurance offerings available to customers. State departments of insurance are authorized to issue cease and desist orders and impose significant civil and criminal penalties against parties who engage in the unlawful and unauthorized sale of insurance. Route provides a simple and powerful insurance option for our partner brands - for free.
