# Can I import my passwords from another password manager or browser into Dashlane?

I am looking to import my passwords from another password manager or browser into Dashlane, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Has anyone here successfully completed this process? What steps did you take, and were there any challenges you faced?

Yes. Dashlane supports the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP), an encrypted, industry-standard way to move logins, passkeys, and verification codes directly from apps like Apple Passwords, 1Password, and Bitwarden without ever exporting an unencrypted file. For managers or browsers that don't yet support CXP, Dashlane also accepts a standard CSV import, with step-by-step guides for moving data from Chrome, LastPass, and other common sources.
