# Can I enable support for all ubuntu-PPA package in Kali?

I was able to add repo on sources.list. but not all packages are working ,it will be great that I can completely ditch ubuntu

Technically, you can enable support for Ubuntu PPAs (Personal Package Archives) in Kali Linux, but it is highly discouraged.
While Kali is based on Debian (as is Ubuntu), their core libraries and package versions differ significantly. Mixing them creates a &quot;FrankenDebian&quot; that often leads to critical system failures.

You can try though both are different not to forget it originated form backtrack and doesn&#39;t feel the same way in Ubuntu at all.
