# Can I change what a QR code on product packaging links to after the product has shipped?

Product packaging already has a printed QR code on it and there's a need to change where it directs to. Is there a way to do that with Uniqode?

Yes, if it's a dynamic QR code. The code printed on the packaging never changes, only the destination behind it does, which you update from the platform dashboard. For packaged goods, this matters more than in almost any other use case, because packaging has a long shelf life and reprints are expensive. Brands use dynamic QR codes: to push recall or safety notices to products already in market, update regulatory and compliance information, rotate seasonal promotions on the same SKU, and localize content by market. A static QR code can't do any of this and the destination is permanent once printed.
