# Can I adjust the default map generated when I "Map It"?

The map may assume I take a toll road for my travel which I don't and my mileage is actually longer than shown.

I have not figured out how to do this yet. If the Map It is incorrect, I override it with custom mileage and this usually garners approval if I describe what my process is.

Although you cannot modify the generated map, you may adjust the number of miles being expensed. For instance, if you had to go out of your way due to a traffic accident, you could add those miles to your amount, just include a note saying why the mileage is higher than the map.
