# Can HOLO alert us before contracts renew automatically or expire?

One of the most frequent pains we hear from legal and procurement teams: contracts that renew automatically because nobody saw the deadline, or expire leaving the service uncovered.

In HOLO CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management), every contract lives in a central repository with its key data extracted by AI — parties, amounts, renewal and termination clauses, obligations and critical dates. The platform sends configurable alerts before each renewal or expiration window (e.g. 90/60/30 days), assigns the review task to the contract owner, and tracks obligations post-signature. Approval workflows and e-signature are built in, and versioning keeps a full audit trail of every change.

The typical outcome is that renegotiations start on time (with leverage, instead of after an automatic renewal locks you in for another year) and no critical contract lapses unnoticed.

If your team still tracks renewals in a spreadsheet, happy to share how organizations with hundreds of active contracts structure this in HOLO.
