# Building the site is a pain but is critical. This needs to be easier.

I'm probably missing something but please point me to something that allows my to build site geometry as easy  as I can build orthogonal geometry for buildings. I understand the degree of difficulty jumps up exponentially but still.

Try the 2DXY_SiteSurvey add-on.  The precise survey lines are very easy to set.  The become familiar with the integrated site location and sand box tools for 3D modeling.
