It’s a very good question if it weren’t for the fact that what I could answer “an hour ago, now no longer makes sense.”

It’s a “technology” that is evolving so quickly that if, years ago, it was said “in 6 months XYZ is old,” now it’s a matter of just a few hours.

In my opinion (although I find it to be a rather superficial discussion:)

(1) Personalising user experiences

(2) Automate Repetitive Tasks

(6) Analysing large groups of data to identify patterns and make predictions -> main goal is (1)

(7) Not sure if "enhancing" is really the right word, I'd say "helping"

Hi Luca,

A great response and one I agree with you on. AI is developing at 'breakneck speed' and I agree we are seeing technology develop at the fastest rate in human history. So you are right - what was you next week, becomes old a week later, and changes are now happening almost daily. Elon Musk's Grok 3 is already beating all the other AI models after its launch today. However, with this rate of change, don't be surprised to see that it is being left behind, this time next week.

I wish I could predict this...especially as it relates to my profession in writing and marketing! Instead, I'll share some ways that I've used it recently:

Helping me with a first draft of a paper I needed to write for Grad School (I know this sounds sketchy, but it helps me hone in on points I want to make so I can research them more deeply).

Giving feedback on a grant application I wrote. This was INCREDIBLY helpful and gave me some key points I hadn't considered.

I recently downloaded all of my data from Facebook in preparation for deactivating my personal account (I'd love to delete it, but I use it for clients, so I have to keep it). While it captures all of your posts, it is shared in an HTML file and a lot of it is out of chronological order. I asked ChatGPT to organize the posts and put in a text file, as I plan to use some of them as thought-starters for my Substack and (hopefully) a memoir I plan to write.

So perhaps an answer to your question is...everything! These platforms keep getting smarter and smarter, so as long as the human knows how to ask for help, the opportunities are endless.

I wish they'd come up with (affordable) AI/robotics that would fold the clean laundry that's sitting in my dryer right now...

First of all, that definitely does not sound sketchy about utilizing it for grad school. It's just the way of the world these days.

Second, that use case with inputting your Facebook data to help build a memoir is the coolest thing I have ever heard of when it comes to using AI. I had no idea that was even possible. You have me wanting to do something like that now – not even for a memoir, but just to watch an episode of "This is Your Life".

Hi Kadi,

That's great to see using the initiative when it comes to AI.

Like Brett, I agree your downloading of your Facebook data is a brilliant idea. I wonder how many other applications this could be applied to, before dispensing with the applications.

Hi Kadi,

Didn't think of using it for downloading FB data - taking inspo to do this with other socials and data I want to organize :) I can see an AI tool for this specific use case being very popular!
