# Are the benefits of Discord Nitro worth paying for?

I'm contemplating subscribing to Discord Nitro as a way to support Discord but I'm not so fond of a recurring payment. But I'm more willing to consider it if the perks of Discord Nitro are useful enough.

If you need to post larger images, or stream video at resolutions higher than 720p than it most certainly is (Nitro provides up to 4k). I am a digital artist and often I am streaming what I am doing on my screen, a video, or posting large image files (image size and file size) to different teams. I have Nitro Classic and it has proven to be well worth the small amount they ask for.

If you are a writer that needs to post large amounts of text, need to stream video higher than 1080p, must have all those extra glossy frills (more emoticons, banners, etc.), or you need to join more than 100 servers (wow) than Nitro would be the choice for you.
