Automation processes are mapped on UiPath Studio, the designer canvas, without coding, by dragging and dropping activities onto the canvas and linking them together with connectors, and by using productivity wizards like Recorder, which auto generates automation steps. The designer and automation engine are based on Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF), the same workflow engine used in Sharepoint. The UI Automation SDK used under the hood is UiPath proprietary, having been developed since 2005.
